Research and idea development for street

I started my research for upcoming 3d street project. Started my research by going on Google maps street view. There I was looking at difference between streets all over the worlds biggest capitals.

Oslo
Cape Town
Washington

London

Roma

Sydney

Tokyo

After looking at streets for quite a while decided to create a street with two different styles of houses. One side of street would be similar to houses in Cape Town photo and the other would look something like Oslo street.

Street photos

We took out cameras from college store and went to take pictures of street components like walls, pavement, windows, doors and whole buildings.  We did that to research for upcoming 3d street project.

I took this photo of road because it has several types of road in one place and I will need that to avoid my 3d street to look repetitive. Here are different types of road and pavement:

Road made from stone bricks.
This photo is a good example of pavement connection to street and how side walk block looks like.
Pavement from ground level. I took this photo because you can see how high above road is pavement
Different kind of pavement with yellow line.

Street water drain nicely breaks street's repetitiveness.

Some big buildings from distance

Some examples of different kinds of windows and doors

Photos of fence with bars.

Today we had a small demonstration and some tips on how to manipulate an image (in this case a image of house).
first we made sure that all the windows, doors, and the whole shape of building is straight and not distorted by the angle that photo was taken. To do that we used ruler tool  and got the image in place with skew transform tool.
After we were done with that we had to get rid off street signs by selecting them and using fill with content aware on and to make it look even better we used clone stamp tool and spot healing brush tool. After we were done removing street signs and a street lamp we had to try experimenting and changing building the way you want and this is my result.
